Job Description

Applications are invited from candidates to work as a Project Assistant under the CURIE program for Women PG colleges funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.

Essential qualification: a first-class (60% marks) B.Sc.degree with honours/major in Botany/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Physics/Zoology.

Desirable:(a) Experience handling and maintaining sophisticated scientific instruments. (b) Experience in the preparation of reagents/buffer solutions (c) experience working in a research laboratory (government or private) supported by documentary evidence.

Age limit: Not exceeding 25 years as of the last date of application.

General Terms and Conditions:
(a) The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
(b) The project’s duration will be initially for one year and is extendable up to three years based on yearly performance.
(c) Fellowship @ INR 22,000.00 per month (consolidated) will be provided per the norms of the DST, Govt. of India. (d) Handique Girls’ College reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for an interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
(e) Only the short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.
(f) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the same.
(g) The candidate is expected to join immediately if selected.
