Job Description

In pursuance of the permission for advertisement for filling up the vacant post of the Principal of provincialised Colleges accorded
by Hon’ble DHE, Assam vide order No. DHE/CE/Misc/43/2021/33 dated Kahilipara, the 01.03.2023, applications are invited with
complete Bio-data and all supporting testimonials from HSLC onward from intending candidates for the post of
Principal, Dibru College, Dibrugarh, Assam through proper channel having qualification, experience, latest norms etc. as
prescribed by the UGC and the Govt. of Assam guidelines uploaded in the college website www.dibrucollege.edu.in

1. A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University.
2. A. Ph.D. Degree. in concerned/ allied/relevant discipline (s) in the institutions concerned with equivalent publication work.
3. Associate Professor/ Professors with a total experience of fifteen years of Te a c h i n g / R e s e a r c h /
Administration in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education
4. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on performance based Appraisal System (PBAS) in AppendixIII to direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges
5. A minimum of 10 Research Publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals.
6. A minimum of 110 research score as per Appendix-II of Table 2 as per UGC guideline 20.07.2018.
7. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s levels for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record. The eligibility marks of 55% in the equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system followed, and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures
8. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
9. Upper age limit of 55 years as on 01.01.2023 as per Govt. of Assam. Notification No. AHE/
10. The term of Principal shall be 5 years as per Govt. guidelines.

11. Application should be in the prescribed proforma issued by the DHE, Assam and to be
submitted to the President, Governing Body, Dibru College, Dibrugarh, Assam, Pin-786003 within 15 (Fifteen) days from the date of
publication of the advertisement along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) only (non refundable) drawn in
favour of Principal, Dibru College, Dibrugarh payable at Punjab National Bank, Chowkidingee Branch (IFSC – PUNB0060320). The advertisement is uploaded in the college website i.e. www.dibrucollege.edu.in
