Progati College, Agomani (Arts Stream) is established in 1991(18th August) at Agomani, P.O-Agomani, Dist -Dhubri (Assam), Pin-783335. The area belonging multi-Community inhabitants, an Indo-Bangladesh border, economically backward, has basic profession i.e., cultivation. It is a fruitful result of some intellectuals viz. Md. Aminur Rahaman (Ex Principal i/c, Agomani H.S. School), Md. Mansur Ali Sarkar (Ex Principal i/c, P.B. College, Gauripur), Mr. Prahllad Ch. Paul (Ex Principal i/c, Agomani H.S. School), Mr. Esmail Ali Sarkar (Secretary, Agomani National Club), Mr. Paramananda Chakrabarti (Ex Asstt. Teacher, Agomani H.S. School), Mr Ambika Charan Roy (Ex Asstt. Teacher, Agomani H.S. School) and many others.
