North Lakhimpur College

North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) has a rich history since its establishment in 1952, and has become a renowned institution of higher education in Assam. The college’s motto, “Let noble thoughts come from all directions,” reflects its goal to provide a sound academic environment to equip learners with theoretical knowledge, practical exposure, and the ability to think critically.
Over the years, the college has achieved several significant milestones. In 2002, the college celebrated its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of service to the community. In 2008 and 2009, the college was awarded financial assistance from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), respectively. In 2010, the college was conferred the status of College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
